The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros

"What matters is that the story cast its magic, that it silence you into listening, and move you to laugh, and even better, to cry and then laugh, and a long time later, to haunt you. Long after you have closed the book, it's what haunts and stays with you that matters, for then the story will have done its work."

--Sandra Cisneros

Task #1

Before diving into a novel it’s important to take the time and consider the author. By learning about the author’s personality, his or her writing can speak even more meaningfully to the reader.

Click on the book cover above and read the 2003 interview with Sandra Cisneros in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

On this home page, I'll introduce myself and talk about my reasons for wanting a web site. I might put a picture of myself on this page...or just a picture that I especially like.

What's New?

Here I might add an entry whenever I make an update to my web site. Where appropriate, I'll include a link to the change. For example:

11/1/01 - Added new photos to Vacation Album page.
